When my boys were younger we lived in a small Ranch on Harrington Avenue. Since then I have lived all over Concord. My memories of that home are very fond; we didn’t have many material things and I was just starting out in this business. I was hungry, young, and filled with a passion for what was a new enterprise for me: residential real estate. One of my favorite attributes of that home was my family’s ability to walk to the Old Rifle Range Conservation Land and use the trail system. I will admit here that we had paintball wars there, reenacting our version of how the land was used in our very active imaginations. This activity is not allowed on these trails but that was 3 decades ago. The statute of limitations has certainly passed, I would hope. If not, you know where to find me. Anyway, the trails from the Harrington side allow access to Old Marlborough Road and cross to the Bruce Freeman Rail Trail. In addition, that location offers easy access to Marshall Farm. Fresh produce, eggs, poultry, milk, ice cream, assorted fruits and vegetables, all seasonal plantings plus pumpkins in the Fall and Christmas trees can be purchased from Ricky and Ashley, the proprietors of this spectacular multi-generational Concord farm.

160 Range Road is another wonderful home that a Concord family has asked me to market and sell. It benefits from all the attributes I personally experienced living in my first Concord home on Harrington Avenue. However, this is no starter home, and the location offers a lifestyle that feels like you are in the backwoods of Maine on vacation. No exaggeration here; it feels like a vacation destination. It is sited down a long driveway off a traditional neighborhood street. When you arrive at the house you gain the pleasure of absolute privacy. The entire home faces the conservation parcel with trails. Large windows throughout the home as well as an expansive deck, sunroom and patios face the conservation land with trails. Inside you will find generous room sizes with walls of windows in multiple directions that take advantage of the unique setting. A commercial kitchen is open to a family room complete with a wood stove and sliders to an entertainment size deck. A private home office is just steps away. The upstairs offers a primary suite with all the bells and whistles plus three additional bedrooms. The walk-out lower level features access to the yard and feels like a separate apartment in the main house. It can serve as a play/game room or the ultimate ground-level in-law apartment since it offers a guest room and full bath.

Attached to the home is a separate apartment offering its own private access, a kitchen, living room, bedroom, office, bathroom and a shared covered porch. As an income unit one should be able to rent this space for a market rate of at least $2,600-$2,800 to offset the mortgage payment or bring in additional household income. Certainly this apartment could also serve as a lavish in-law apartment or family space. Complete privacy is available in this part of the home.

Grateful to represent this wonderful family! I am available to show the home by appointment.

I hope to hear from you.
